Affiliate and retailer links show up in the places you would expect to buy a device: the retailer columns on ranking tables, the “Affiliate Links” panels on device pages, and similar buy links around the site. When you purchase through one of them, the retailer pays us a commission on the sale.

Scores and rankings on Hardware Ranked come from the community and critic system — user ratings and verified critic input aggregated into the 0–100 HR score, exactly as described in how the site works. Affiliate relationships play no part in that math:

• No device is ranked higher, scored better, or featured more prominently because of an affiliate relationship.
• No retailer buys placement in a ranking table or device page.
• The people and systems that produce scores have no incentive tied to affiliate revenue.

Buying through an affiliate link does not change the price you pay. Prices, discounts, and availability shown on Hardware Ranked can lag behind the retailer — the price on the retailer’s site at checkout is always the one that counts, so double-check it before you buy.

Affiliate revenue is one of the ways the site pays for itself, which keeps the rankings free to use and free of ad networks.

Affiliate and retailer links on the site carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, the standard machine-readable signal that a link is commercial. Affiliate link panels also carry a visible disclosure line pointing back to this page.
