The MagicX Zero 40 is an unusual Android handheld built around a vertically oriented 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen designed especially well for Nintendo DS layouts, vertical arcade games, and portrait-oriented content. Its Allwinner A133P processor, 2GB of DDR4 memory, 4300mAh battery, Hall-effect analog stick, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and dual front-facing speakers give it a surprisingly complete feature set for a low-cost system. Strong portability, a distinctive display, and good performance for classic systems are balanced by the single-stick control layout, modest chipset, and inconsistent performance once it reaches Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and PSP territory.
