The ANBERNIC RetroGame RS-97 Plus is an early budget Linux handheld built around a 3-inch display, a single analog slide pad, and the low-power Ingenic JZ4760B processor. It performs best with Game Boy, NES, Genesis, and other 8-bit or 16-bit systems, while Game Boy Advance, Super Nintendo, and PlayStation performance varies significantly by game and firmware. Its removable battery, AV output, and compact body remain useful, but the poor display, dated Mini-USB connection, weak processor, and obsolete software ecosystem limit its appeal today.
